Day 13: Groundhog Day

Seven tries with the camera, and finally another photo of us! I am so thankful for digital camera.

I am trying to get Aly used to wearing sunglasses. It's a way of life in southern California!

Today, Aly decided that her hair accessory must go. I think it was pulling on her hair, which is never fun. After a few attempts of putting it back in, we decided on leaving it out.

It was her doll's turn to be accessorized today.

And what child doesn't love bananas. I was giving her bigger bites, but she would stuff it all in her mouth, so I ended up giving her smaller bites and that is when she started getting silly.

Aly was telling me that with the same toys every day, it is beginning to feel like Groundhog Day. If you have seen the movie with Bill Murray, you know what I'm talking about. I tried to explain that I wanted to bring more toys, but that everyone was telling me to pack light. I promised her that if we can make it through the 10-day waiting period (they don't waive the waiting period in this region), and the travel home, she would not have to be worried about being bored again. We are so excited that once everyone is settled at home we will get to explore the house with the many books and toys, and walk to the parks in our neighborhood. I have been told that since the children are only used to their baby home, that they can get overly stimulated very easily. We may have to wait awhile to visit the beach, Disneyland, Sea World, and the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, but Aly will not be bored!

The flu is going around the baby home, so please say a prayer to keep everyone healthy and strong.

Our court date is finally tomorrow at 4:30! We are so excited that we are finally at another major milestone in our adoption!

How could I forget that you are in our region! I've been so consumed with Arina being home. Good luck with court. Its a piece of cake, you'll do great! Who is helping you? Is it Luda?
